Why must I give so much personal information?

Insurance companies establish their rates using a variety of criteria, each emphasizing their own target profile. Since we deal with hundreds of companies, we must ask the questions of all of them to determine the most competitive match for your profile and that of the insurance companies. In some cases, where permitted by law, insurance companies will need to do additional background information such as credit reports, driving records, or claims history verification and will need social security numbers and drivers license numbers to run these reports.

Should you decline to give some information, you may eliminate some of the most competitive quotes. While much personal information is necessary for the insurance companies to provide an accurate quote, rest assured that such information is used strictly for the purposes of quoting insurance and nothing more. In the event that we do not have sufficient participation on our network in your area, we may provide your information to not more than five local insurance providers who may be able to assist you with your quote request. You will be notified within 48 hours by email of those agents and companies who received your information.
